Here's To A New Year
Dec. 31st, 2021 10:34 pmMy first time actively finding a community to push me on in 2021 lead to me actually completing a first draft on an idea that's nearly 8 years old. A project that split itself into two projects lovingly dubbed This Dark And Divine Place and the Cursed Children or (prequel and the main story) where the prequel slowly took over.
I reached a lot of firsts in 2021, I made it one year of not biting my nails, one full year sober, my first full year divorced. I completed my first ever first draft, and started planning for a better future.
Maybe I'll get a step closer to publishing, maybe I won't but I won't know until I try.
I can happily say I'm going into 2022 with a child of my choosing in the form of words and characters, a family I made for myself out of grief and sorrow.
